Thank you to everyone that voted! You chose to put the effort in and vote for those that best represented their values. Over the next few weeks I will be learning a lot and will find out the best way that I can best represent you all going forward. I too am passionate about protecting the watershed and I have a few ideas on how that may be achieved. We have an opportunity to implement curb-side recycling and organic pickup over the next while, trying to divert garbage from our rapidly filling landfill. We have some opportunities to create more rental housing and affordable new housing. Hopefully we can move forward on creating more bike and walking paths soon. There is a lot to be done. I plan on making this process an active dialogue between you, me, and the SCRD board.
